I just think adopting is beautiful, and selfless ❤️❤️

Guys, families DO NOT have to match! Family is made up of the people of care/love you regardless of race. Everyone needs a loving, safe home with a family

Your daughter is beautiful. I used to want to adopt but, I don't know if I can now. Some good moms can't adopt.

I was adopted by white people and was abused. My adoptive mother is narcissistic and has hated me since they got me. I was sent "home videos" and upon watching realized I wasnt in any of them. The vids where I was features, none of the aunts or uncles held me, talked to me, helped me, hugged me or showed me attention. When an uncle did play with me, he'd hold my curly hair, laugh and make fun of my "fro." I learned a couple weeks ago, demanding my adoptive mother to tell me why nobody cared. She casually said how they hsted biracial, adopted children. Mind you, she had already adopted another baby and had him for 3yrs before adopting me. She deliberately brought me into a racist environment. I'm 36,my adoptove dad killed himself 3 different ways. I was denied the right to grieve over his body. I was molested by the other adopted brother but was accused of wanting it. I was re-abandned at 24 Nd still ignored by 4 older siblings. I wish I had never been adopted

I just hope they know how to take care of her hair and are socially in tuned,,,, otherwise she's adorable & the seem like great parents

Congratulations! She's a doll! I hope they check out the Chocolate Hair, Vanilla Care blog ❤️

Non-whites don't adopt white babies. We have to stop taking care of the world, and start taking care of our own people again.

He looked like Andy Warski at first lol

And when the child grows up, the very LAST man she will want to marry will be an African from Africa. She will want to dye her hair blonde and marry a European, because she will be ashamed of her own tribe and her own people.  That is the real tragedy.

What's behind the trend?

The Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan.

Put a headband on her pretty lil head!!! And please take her to a Black hairstylist as she grows up....

Ok am I looking at the black version of Rachel Ray or what? Lol

Americans, taking black people from Africa since 1750.

Please learn to do her hair. Or pay someone to keep up with her hair.

Clicked on this because the baby isn't White! Welcome to the future, guys!

This is a beautiful and awesome example of a family unit. Everyone seems so obsessed with color, that they forget to notice the admiration in the eyes of Thomas, as he looks at his new baby girl. Him and his wife love this child..THAT is what is important..! Congrats to him and his wife on their pregnancy too. This world is full of too much hate. Let's smell the roses and see the beauty of us as a human race and stop with this artificial boundary of "race"!

i don't get why so many people get crap for adopting especially when it's outside of their race. I get that they're going to grow up differently and probably struggle, but I think it's much better for them to be in a loving home than growing up without one. Just be happy for one another jeez.

Belen Morales exactly!!!!

When I heard they were adopting I didn't think it will be this quick. It feels like they just announced they were adopting AND pregnant. Argh!! Willa is so freaking cute

It's not fair to the child to wrench her away from her own people, her own tribe, her own culture and her own ethnic identity, just so the couple can appear "politically correct" and assuage their imaginary "guilt" for being European.

perfectly put

@Sarah - Yeah, as "close minded" as millions of AFRICANS, ORIENTALS & INDIAN SUBCONTINENTALS WHO NEVER ADOPT AFRICAN CHILDREN.

Bramble T I can't even imagine being as close minded as you are

@Natasha - The best way to "give this child a better life" would be to GIVE MONEY TO HER RELATIVES IN AFRICA TO RAISE HER THERE, amongst HER OWN PEOPLE, her own tribe, to be PROUD OF BEING AFRICAN, instead of PRETENDING TO BE EUROPEAN.

NessaNote lol shut up, this couple is "her people" and I highly doubt anyone else in her home country could've took care of her in the way Thomas and Lauren do. It has nothing to do with PC, or white guilt, it's about giving a child who would've never had a chance a better life.

lol, i laughed so hard, your baby daughter KNOWS she does not like tofu!! did you see her face? Priceless!!!

I just love this family...Period

Brianna Iniesta yes good day

Kristie Riley do you know anything about her hair or how it's supposed to be?

that guy has a life on stage? ..ok..no idea why/who he is professionally.. but it's cool he and his wife adopted a baby!..and he said his wife had been to uganda, i think he said a few times..was she a christian missionary??..or there for another reason??..this video clip was too short!..only a lot of basic details..but its awesome that they adopted..and looking at those few photos, they remind me of my own awesome multi-ethnic family! 👍👍☺☺

I find it odd that white people don't adopt white kids in America. Why Black and Asian?? From a social perspective, they are not going to understand what it's like being a POC in this world. For this instance, this is a black girl from Africa being raised in America. I get that kids need love and support of all races, but why not adopt from your own ethnicity in your own country. Bizarre.

FashionLoveSmile plus the point of adopting outside of my race is to bring culture to my family

Cause I'm not closed minded like you

She actually has a charity in Africa has tons of orphans she provides for and visits so often... Willa was one of them if I'm correct. She has her reasons.. idk why people always have something to say anyways when they don't do anything to make a difference. I don't see why race or location matters..we are all people.. trying to live and love...

Natasha Movesian Exactly! Being in foster care and being in an orphanage are completely different. Both aren't ideal but orphanages is not a good place for anybody, no matter how "good" it is.

FashionLoveSmile adoptees in America have it heaps better than foreign countries with more rights and laws protecting them. My parents adopted from both Uganda (same as them) and the US. We all know my US born sister would've been okay with our system, however the change in my African born sisters life is a miracle itself.

so this black girl is gonna be a stuck up white girl

robertjames12 I loved what you said , it was too funny.😅😅😅😅😅 Ms.Dot

I just hope they're socially aware and they realize that she'll have different experiences than them

Instead of being happy for your own color, to be raised in a good home, you are all freakin complaining?! Be happy! She's a baby! All babies need to be taken care of no matter what color, just be happy for her!!!

@Caryn- Yes, as a CHRISTIAN, I am well aware of the horrific persecution of Christians in Uganda by MUSLIMS, including the UGANDA MARTYRS, who were BURNT AT THE STAKE for refusing to be SODOMIZED by their own prince, on the advice of his Muslim sodomite lover in 1885. Their picture is included in my music video "CHRISTIAN MARTYRS" here, featuring a hymn by Armenian Christians, who were also the victims of Islamic Genocide:

tigana I think they are aware, and I hope they raise her to be a strong girl because she seems so sweet. Im sure she'll have her little sister to help her along the way while growing up.

dark, light, spotted; it's still a human. don't have to be black to know to be kind and equitable to everyone

and a dark skinned child at that? really? get real.

How kool is this, America wake up. We cry about every stinking thing.

Dorothy Stephens , thank you. 😊

Aubrey Loving I thought what you said was too cute. Thanks for the laugh😄😄😄😄 Ms. Dot.

I'm so sick and tired of these white privileged people coming to the rescue of the poor black desperate African babies. you want brownie points for that? hooray I'm a Christian. ..I'm adopting a black baby to prove I'm not racist! Hooray for me!stop exploiting black babies to make yourself look good for your "church". black babies are NOT props! #blackbabywhitesavioursyndome

alright so what I'm getting it you would rather let this poor beautiful baby more than likely die a early death, starve, and abused in a third world country with problems of their own than be adopted by a couple that love her dearly and can give her everything she needs and more because they don't share the same skin tone.

she's not white. If so I guess I am colored blind.Hey it's their life let them do what they want.

I have never understood why people don't adopt from their own countries. It's not like American doesn't have children who would love a caring home.

American children are too buck wild and will not mind their parents.

Pius X Its not like other people need parents too, not everything revolves around America. They met her when she was 6 months old and obviously had a connection with her. A connection they might not have with another child. Be happy that one less child is taken care of by loving parents and if you cant see that then i feel sorry for you, i really do

Bramble T that's stupid, not every adopted child is dissatisfied with their adoptive parents.

@Kaylia - The trouble with adopting or even step-parenting is that, no matter how much love and care and money the parents lavish upon the adopted  or stepchild, when the child becomes a teenager, they will start searching for their real biological parents, because they are dissatisfied with their adoptive or step-parents, feeling disconnected from their roots, and yearn to feel part of their real family, their real tribe.  And the race of the adopted child may not matter to you, but it will matter to the child.

I need someone adopte me too loll

Good on them. Children need parents to love and take care of them. More adults of all races need to come forward. I wish them all the best.

Bramble T you do realize we all came from the same people, just scattered out more over the thousands of years... just be happy a baby is being taken care of rather then starving.

Bramble T Why should it matter WHY theyre coming here? What should matter is WHAT theyre going to do when they come here. Why shouldnt they come here? If america is such a great nation, why not take the chance to come and be a part of something great? Its not like their countries are infested with gangs, poverty caused by governments, war and unequal rights, no no no, that just isnt so (sarcasm).

@Jason Mendez - The USA was built into a great nation by EUROPEANS. All the countries of the West were built into great nations by EUROPEANS. Mexico has had nearly 200 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE to build Mexico into a great nation. So why are Mexicans swarming over the US border to get away from Mexico? Why are all these people from India, Pakistan, Somalia, South America and everywhere else swarming into the West, instead of working hard to build their own lands into great nations?

Bramble T So based on your logic, every immigrant that migrated to the US should have stayed in their own country and not pretend to be American? I bet your ancestors would have love to hear that, not assuming that they did from everyone who hated immigrants even back then.

It's fabulous adopting and giving a child a future where freedom is the fabric of life.

wow black baby, don,t look right, stay own race.

peter bynoe
get over it

So your logic is to then have black babies with no homes instead. Makes much more sense. Thanks racist.

You should learn, there is NO SUCH THING as "different races". Humans don't have biological differences to put us in "different races". It's the human race, so learn that fact once and for all. The old race thinking was done by Europeans centuries ago to justify their non existent superiority. Willa is loved and happy by her parents and part of a loving family.
